A Warren County man injured in a wreck on Tucker Road early Saturday died Tuesday afternoon at University Medical Center in Jackson.

Alvin Dewayne Tilley, 21, 13950 U.S. 61 South, died at 3:41 from head trauma, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey said.

Authorities said Tilley was southbound when he lost control of the 2009 Toyota Corolla he was driving. Tilley, who authorities said was not wearing a seat belt and was distracted while driving, was thrown from the car when the vehicle flipped. Emergency personnel responded at 2:35 a.m. and found him in the road.

Four passengers in the vehicle were injured, with two treated and released from River Region Medical Center.

Tilley, who is survived by his parents and two brothers including a twin — attended Vicksburg High School and worked at an air conditioning repair business in Jackson, said his mother, Marlys Cade.

It was the fourth fatal wreck in Warren County this year and the second outside Vicksburg’s city limits.
