Miss McGuffie to wed Mr. Walker on Oct. 16

The engagement of Jennifer Leigh McGuffie to William Clinton Walker, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. Oct. 16, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
Miss McGuffie is the daughter of Louise McDonald of Vicksburg and Gary McGuffie of Lewisburg, W.Va. She is the stepdaughter of Buddy McDonald of Marietta, Ga.
She is the granddaughter of the late Leon Jackson and Cora Inez Britton and the late Robert Woodrow and Ethel Patrick McGuffie, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. Walker is the son of Connie Clay and William Walker, both of Tallulah.
He is the grandson of the late Charles H. and Laverne T. Whittaker of Tallulah and the late James Lee and Dolly O. Walker of Lake Providence, La.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society and basketball and softball teams. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2004 with a concentration in finance from the University of Southern Mississippi. She was a member of the Pi Society, Financial Management Association and Pi Beta Phi sorority, serving as recruitment chair.
Miss McGuffie is a mortgage originator for NOLA Lending.
The prospective groom is a 1993 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology in 2009 from Mississippi State University with a minor in business administration.
