Roy C. Strickland

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Roy C. Strickland, 68, passed away Sept. 22, 2010.
He was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Vicksburg to the late Clyde (Cotton) and Erna Voss Strickland.
Roy is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Dawn Strickland, and her mother, Connie Wright; sisters, Ann S. Nassour and husband Johnny, Eleanora F. Baker; Michael Nassour and wife Janice.
He is also survived by family members Sharon B. Francingues and husband Norman, Dawn Burroughs and husband Butch, all of Vicksburg; Beverly J. Roggenkamp of Gladstone, Mo., and Carolyn C. Gordon of Brandon, Miss. Along with numerous great- and great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins from Vicksburg and Natchez and Missouri.
Roy is also survived by Nancy Misner, husband Michael; niece and nephew, Marybeth and Kenneth from The Woodlands; Lisa Farley and husband James; nieces, Dana, Erin and Catherine.
Roy lived his life to the fullest and was deeply loved by all of his friends with whom he had so many special times, relationships and memories. Roy was a member of the W.C.R. and so many other wonderful organizations. He also had his company Roy Strickland Real Estate located in The Woodlands. He was a great entrepreneur and lived his life to the utmost fullest. Roy was a very passionate and generous man with many roots in the community.
He will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Roy’s life will begin at noon Friday at Forest Park Funeral Home and The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until service at the chapel at 2 p.m.
