Deputy Jerry Davidson, left, and Detective Sam Winchester show a box of prescription drugs at the Warren County Sheriff’s Department mobile command center at the Outlets of Vicksburg Saturday. The sheriff’s department partnered with the Drug Enforcement Agency for Drug Take Back Day to collect prescription drugs from people in the area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the assurance of anonymity and no legal consequences. After the drugs were collected by the department they were turned over to the DEA for disposal to keep them out of the hands of people who might abuse them. Sheriff Martin Pace said hundreds of thousands of pills were collected.
