Guns, jewelry missing in weekend burglaries

Three burglaries were reported in the city over the weekend, said Vicksburg police Sgt. Sandra Williams.

A 9mm pistol valued at $200 and a TomTom navigation system valued at $120 were reported missing at 11:48 a.m. Friday from a 1993 Chevrolet pickup that had been parked in the 2800 block of Drummond Street.

About noon Friday, two Dell laptops valued at $1,200, a Nokia cell phone valued at $100, jewelry valued at $450, a Wii game system and seven games and a Spiderman backpack were reported missing from a home in the 400 block of Haas Street.

Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, a 42-inch LG television valued at $1,250, an iPod Touch valued at $200 and jewelry were reported missing from a home in the 200 block of Belva Drive.
