Bike ride will be back

As the sponsor of the first Bricks and Spokes, the Vicksburg Main Street Program wishes to recognize those who made it a success. The long-term goal is to raise money for Main Street, a nonprofit that serves downtown.

Thank you to Mayor Paul Winfield, Linda Fondren, one of CNN’s top 10 Heroes for 2010, and Patrick House, a competitor on the “The Biggest Loser,” for greeting and motivating the cyclists.

Many thanks also go to all of our volunteers and sponsors, and to law enforcement for keeping the cyclists safe. Main Street truly appreciates your effort, support and dedication.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all of the cyclists who came out and took part in this inaugural event. We are very grateful for your support. We hope each of you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
