A recap of how college football players with ties to the Vicksburg area did in games played over the weekend.

• Delta State defensive back Garrett Williams (South Delta) had six solo tackles, four assists, one quarterback hurry and one-half tackle for loss in a 31-7 loss to North Alabama on Thursday.

• Southern Miss safety Chico Hunter (Warren Central) had seven solo tackles and three assists in a 50-49, double-overtime loss to UAB on Saturday.

• Jackson State wide receiver Anthony Mayes (Hinds AHS) had 68 all-purpose yards on three receptions, one punt return and three kickoff returns in a 30-13 win over Prairie View.

• Mississippi State special teamer Marvin Bure (Vicksburg High) assisted on one tackle in the 23rd-ranked Bulldogs’ 24-17 victory over Kentucky.

• Mississippi College running back Austin Divinity (Hinds AHS) carried the ball 31 times for 154 yards, and scored on a 3-yard run in a 38-21 win over Sul Ross State. Divinity also caught one pass for 5 yards.

• Mississippi College defensive back Horace Allen (Vicksburg High) had one solo tackle and three assists in the win over Sul Ross State. Defensive tackle Larry Walker (Warren Central) made one solo tackle.

• Grambling’s Bennie Peoples (Warren Central) started at left tackle in a 35-25 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

• Louisiana-Lafayette receiver Vernon Wolfe (Vicksburg High) caught five passes for 58 yards in a 38-31 loss to Ohio.

• Memphis wide receiver Delmon Robinson (Vicksburg High) returned one kickoff for 18 yards in a 56-17 loss to Houston.

• North Texas defensive tackle Kelvin Jackson (Port Gibson) had one tackle for loss in a 33-6 rout of Western Kentucky.
