Bras hanging from the sides of the U.S. 80 bridge over the Mississippi River wave in the breeze as Melody Currie, left, and her parents, Maxine and Bill Stanford, stroll across the bridge Thursday morning in support of the campaign to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. Riverwalk Casino donated $1 for each bra collected and $2 for every decorated bra collected by the Sisters by Choice breast cancer support group. Organizers said the bras came from 20 states in the third annual campaign, which raised $12,637 for the American Cancer Society, up from $5,988 last year. About 1,000 of the bras were set aside to give to women’s shelters. Along with Riverwalk, the sponsors are radio stations Q105.1, Halleluja 95.5 and Miss 103.
