Howard and Cindy Park of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Marie, to John Robert Reeder III. Mr. Reeder is the son of Robert and Raye Reeder of Vicksburg.

Miss Park is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Hilbun Sr. of Vicksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Holmes of LaHabra Heights, Calif., and the late Barbara Nell Hintson Park.

Mr. Reeder is the grandson of Buddy and Margaret Rowland of Vicksburg and the late Robert and Mercedes Reeder.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where she was a 5-year letterman in fast pitch softball.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 2008 from Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Miss Park is a teacher and softball coach for the Vicksburg Warren School District.

The prospective groom attended Porters Chapel Academy and is a carpenter for Neblett’s.

Vows will be exchanged at 2 p.m. Dec. 18, 2010, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
