City man, four teens nabbed in burglaries

A Vicksburg man and two teens were arrested Thursday for a burglary reported Wednesday in the city.
Benjamin Johnson, 21, 127 Redhawk Road, a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested at 5:30 p.m. at their homes and charged with burglary and grand larceny, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Johnson and the teens are accused of taking an HP laptop, a PlayStation 3 game system, a Wii game system, an iPod Touch and 15 PlayStation games from a home in the 200 block of Berryman Road, Stewart said.
The laptop and Wii game system were recovered from Johnson’s home, Stewart said.
Johnson was being held without bond in the Issaquena County Jail and the teens were released back to their parents and will be processed through the Warren County Youth Court.
Separately, two teens also were arrested Thursday and charged with burglary.
A 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested at 11:50 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Street, one block west of where a burglary had been reported, Stewart said.
The teens are accused of taking a plastic cup containing $45.80, a Kenneth Cole watch and a Movado watch from a home in the 1400 block of South Street, Stewart said.
In addition to burglary, the teens are charged with possession of stolen property and a curfew violation.
They were in the Warren County Detention Center this morning.
