GREENVILLE — Ruby Lee Allen died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Mississippi Care Center of Greenville. She was 83.

Mrs. Allen was born in Redwood to Joe and Lucille Davis. She attended Glen Allan School and was a member of Ebenezer M.B. Church in Grace, Miss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mose Allen Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Mose Allen; 10 sons, James Allen, John Allen, Willie Allen and Earnest Allen, all of Glen Allan, Johnnie Allen and Richard Allen, both of Greenville, Lee Allen of Junction City, Kan., Roosevelt Allen of Tampa, Fla., Tommie Allen of Pensacola, Fla., and Larry Allen; three daughters, Annie Smith and Rosia Jones, both of Glen Allan, and Mollie Hudson of Greenville; 30 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Delta High School auditorium in Rolling Fork with the Rev. Hezekiah Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Alps Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.
