BOLTON — Reuben H. Thornton died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at his home. He was 69.

Mr. Thornton was born in Utica and lived most of his life in Bolton. He was retired from Cal-Maine Foods in the maintenance department. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Thornton; and his father, Albert A. Thornton.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Thornton of Bolton; a sister, Shirley Ruffin of Lexington, Ky.; four brothers, A. Allen Thornton and Jerry L. Thornton, both of Bolton, David Thornton of Flora and Bobby Thornton of Edwards.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bolton Cemetery with the Rev. Cliff Nelson officiating.
