Hayes Clark Sr. died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 82.

Mr. Clark was a member, deacon and Sunday school superintendent of Holly Grove M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Clark Sr. and Curtis J. Clark; his parents, Warren Clark II and Annie Johnson Clark; two brothers, Ernest Clark and Warren Clark III; and three sisters, Bessie Davis, Antee Thomas and Mildred Francois.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie L. Clark of Vicksburg; five sons, Larney O. Clark of Oswego, Ill., Larry A. Clark of Abbeville, La., Ronnie J. Clark of Vicksburg, Edward M. Clark of Pearl and Hayes Clark Jr. of Linden, N.C., five daughters, Barbara C. Holmes, Emma Clark James, Linda F. Clark, Wanda Clark Odom and Neldra A. Clark, all of Vicksburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Tennant Funeral Home in Rayville, La., has charge of arrangements.
