Robert “Shydog” Shy died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 61.

Mr. Shy was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shana Smith; his father, Curtis Moore; his grandfather, Ollie Shy; and his grandmother, Minnie Campbell.

Surviviors include his wife, Patricia Carson Shy of Vicksburg; his mother, Bernetha Killian of Vicksburg; three daughters, LaTanya Shy, Tiara Franklin and Jessica Berry, all of Vicksburg; seven sons, Robert Earl Williams, Willie Earl Williams, Robert Berry, Darrell Jordan, Henry Shy, Terrell Shy and Henry Ross, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Carolyn Tubbs, Gwendolyn Patterson and Mary Turner, all of Vicksburg; one brother, John Shy of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends.
