Finney, Jones are married in Madison

Jonathan Matthew Finney and Kelsey Renee Jones were married at 2 p.m. Nov. 20, 2010, at Old Rice Road Baptist Church in Madison. Mike Fields, pastor of Triumph Church of Vicksburg, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kathy Jones of Madison. She is the granddaughter of the late Agnes Hollingsworth Jones, Clint Jones and Anna Jones, all of Cleveland, and the late Purvis C. Garrett and the late Katherine Garrett of Madison.

The groom is the son of Michael Sr. and Virginia Finney of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Roy Sr. and Kathryn Elmore and Carl Finney and the late Gleneve Finney, all of Vicksburg,

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were chocolate brown and ivory. Music for the ceremony was performed by Sally Barnette, pianist.

Maids of honor were Katie Segers and Megan Jones, sisters of the bride, of Madison. The groom’s brother, Michael Finney Jr. of Madison, served as best man. Groomsman was Joey Nash of Vicksburg.

Ushers were Michael Finney Jr., Joey Nash and Matthew Jones of Madison.

Flower girl was Anslee Kate Segers, niece of the bride, of Madison. Ring bearer was Braxton Grant of Starkville.

Serving as program and registry attendants were Baylee Garrett of Brandon and Mary Slay McDaniel of Greenwood.

Special wedding assistants were Penny Battistelli of Ridgeland and Patrick Remington of Yazoo City. Jacque Chamblee of Vicksburg served as the bride’s proxy.

A reception was held at Plantation Commons in Gluckstadt. Guests were entertained with music by Scott Steele.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
