An escapee from the Issaquena County Jail was arrested in downtown Jackson at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after less than a day of freedom.

Terence L. Griffin, 22, no address available, was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Corrections and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force after officers received information on Griffin’s whereabouts from an informant, Adam Lee of MDOC’s communication office said.

Griffin, who was serving a 15-year sentence for a 2007 armed robbery in Hinds County, now faces an additional five-year sentence for the escape.
