Shaft Brown of Project MAST, Mississippi Academy for Science Teaching, talks about the breadth of the universe during a lecture on astronomy at Warren Central High School Wednesday. Project MAST is a collaboration between Jackson State University and Mississippi Public Schools to bring more teaching tools to the classroom. Brown’s presentation was in a portable planetarium, or theater built for educational astronomy.
