Back in November, William Kazery experienced the highlight of his young racing career when he led Clinton High School to the Class 6A cross country state team championship at Choctaw Trails.
On Saturday morning, Kazery ran through downtown Vicksburg and won the Chill in the Hills 10K road race for the second time. He also won the inaugural run in 2009.
This time, he didn’t have defending champ Nathan Davis to deal with. Davis has been unable to train this month because of a seasonal illness.
