Miss Calvert to wed Campbell March 26

Mr. and Mrs. B. Randall Calvert announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth, to Joseph Lane Campbell. Mr. Campbell is the son of Mrs. Francis Joseph Campbell and the late Mr. Campbell of Vicksburg.

Miss Calvert is the granddaughter of Mrs. Houston Samuel Sutter and the late Mr. Sutter and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sam Calvert, all of Meridian.

Mr. Campbell is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Dunagin Blackledge of Laurel and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Herbert Campbell of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with a minor in chemistry in 2007 from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority.

In 2008, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile.

Miss Calvert is a registered nurse in critical care at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital.

She is pursuing a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama, where she will graduate from the acute care and family nurse practitioner dual program in May.

The prospective groom graduated as valedictorian in 2001 from Vicksburg High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

He was awarded a juris doctorate in 2008 from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Mr. Campbell is an assistant district attorney for the 9th judicial district serving Warren, Sharkey and Issaquena counties.

He serves on the board for the Warren County Children’s Shelter and is a member of the Y‘s Men’s Club.

Vows will be exchanged March 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Jackson. A reception will follow at The South.
