MLK Parade Fun

Students Clyde Kendric, 17, left, and Tavarius Thomas, 16, both students at Vicksburg High School, point to classmates marching Saturday as members of the school’s band in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. Clyde is the son of Patricia and Garry Lee, and Tavarius is the son of of Ria Judge and Terry Thomas. Events honoring King continue Monday with the Omicron Rho Lambda Educationa Foundation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Vicksburg Convention Center; a day of service that includes a Beulah Cemetery cleanup from 8 a.m. until 3 by contacting Erica Roberts at 601-630-4048; at a free celebration with speakers at 6 p.m. at the Vicksburg.
