Dennis “Pee Wee” Smith of Vicksburg died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. He was 58.

Mr. Smith was a calibration technician at Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Plant. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis M. Smith Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Smith of Vicksburg; two sons, Josh Smith and Clint Smith, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Lorraine “Cooter” Halford Smith of Meadville; one brother, James “Doodle” Smith of Natchez; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Providence Baptist Church in Meadville. Burial will follow under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home of Meadville. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the church.
