Eddie Leo Sims Jr. died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 81.

Mr. Sims was a retired foreman for Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Cooper Lighting. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1947, served two years in the Army and six years in the 386th Transportation Company. He was employed by Westinghouse and Cooper Lighting from 1954 to 1992.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie L. Sims Sr. and Maude Nailor Sims.

He is survived by members of the Sims family of Vicksburg.
