Mr. and Mrs. Clarence David Garrick of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Katherine of Madison, to Matthew Kyle Brewer. Mr. Brewer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Brewer of Madison.

Miss Garrick is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Cummins Jr. and Margaret W. Garrick and the late Joseph D. Garrick Jr., all of Grenada.

Mr. Brewer is the grandson of Thomas H. Kendall of Greenville and the late Irma F. Kendall and Shirley Russell of Byram.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Warren Central High School.

She received an associate degree in nursing from Hinds Community College.

Miss Garrick is a registered nurse in labor and delivery at The Runnels Clinic of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Terry High School.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in information systems from Mississippi State University, where he served as president of Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Mr. Brewer is a senior analyst for the Epic Ambulatory Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. April 2, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church of Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club.
