Martha Joy Stephens died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at her home. She was 63.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her father, James Horace Abney; her mother, Ruby Eleanor Cochran Abney; one son, Stephen Craig Stephens; and five brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Suzanne Lancaster of Yazoo City; a son, Lee Samuel Stephens of Vicksburg; three brothers, Tanner Abney and Bobby Abney, both of Yazoo County, and Van Abney of Vicksburg; and four sisters, Carolyn Roberts and Sue Stevens, both of Vicksburg, Mary Jane Dodson of Utica and Elizabeth Baylot of Texas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Redbone United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon Thursday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Posey Campbell, Benji Campbell, Mike Abney, Dusty Ross, Paul Baylot and Shannon Allen.
