Tyrone Crear has been named area engineer at the Corps of Engineers’ Vicksburg District’s area office at Vidalia, La.

Crear, a Lake Providence, La., native, will oversee the construction management program and serve as its representative for contracts.

Crear has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Southern University in Baton Rouge. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers and Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
