Johnson couple to celebrate 50th

Elijah and Dorothy Johnson will be honored by their daughter Dorothy Yvette Johnson on their 50th wedding anniversary with a nuptial Mass and reception at 7 p.m. Saturday at Loving’s Place, 1622 Clay St.

Mr. Johnson retired as a sawmill foreman from Anderson-Tully after 30 years of service. He is a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church.

Mrs. Johnson retired from Sears with 18 years of service and is an employee of Fred’s Dollar Store. She is a member of Pleasant Valley M.B. Church.

The Johnsons are the parents of five children: Elijah Johnson Jr., Zanetta Rena Johnson, Kenneth Earl Johnson, Calvin Alonzo Johnson and Dorothy Yvette Johnson. They have 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

All relatives and friends are invited to attend the event.
