My wise father said, “Optimism is good but pessimism drives progress.” Our president’s optimism ignores reality: like lemmings we hurtle toward the event horizon of the black hole named bankruptcy. The State of the Union is strong, but only in the current time window.

Barring some miraculous progress, the future is bleak. Freezes and spending aren’t going to preserve the Union. Only the weak benefit from President Barack Obama’s agenda, while everyone else suffers from fear that the American way of life is dissipating.

Obama may not be out to destroy America, but his ideology is so strong that destruction may be collateral damage while in pursuit of his objectives.
