Marcelle Mobley Harper

CLINTON — Marcelle Mobley Harper died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at her home in Clinton. She was 70.

Born and raised in Utica, Mrs. Harper was a graduate of Utica High School and Hinds Junior College in 1958. She was employed by Dan’s Medical Supply and the Clinton School District as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Edna Mobley.

She is survived by her husband, Oleus “Bo” Harper of Clinton; two sons, Bryan Tompkins of Clinton and Ben Tompkins of Jackson; a daughter, Carole Tompkins Tidwell of Hendersonville, Tenn.; three brothers, Billy Mobley of Natchez, James Mobley of Pearl and Harold Mobley of Utica; a sister, Edna Therrell of Kosciusko; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Utica Christian Church with the Rev. Mark Ray officiating. Burial will follow at McClellan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica.

Pallbearers will be Scott Denley, Matt Mobley, Daryll Mobley, Houston Therrell, Jeff Stratton and Dale Stratton.
