Red Dress Affair Sunday afternoon

A local nonprofit organization will host an event Sunday afternoon to raise awareness of the risk of heart disease and stroke in African-American women.

The Vicksburg chapter of LINKS Inc. is gearing up for Red Dress Affair, set for 2 p.m. at the Vicksburg Mall. Admission is free. The event is part of Go Red for Women, a national women’s health campaign held each February.

Dr. Ayanna Jenkins of Jackson-Hinds Comprehensive Health Center will speak. The event will also feature other health professionals, a fashion show and refreshments.
