Roy Mays died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011. He was 49.

Mr. Mays was a former employee of Waterways Experiment Station and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Mays; and his mother, Georgia Rush.

He is survived by four brothers, Richard Clark, James Bradley and Robert Mays, all of Vicksburg, and Leonard Rush of Brandon; three sisters, Patricia Jones of Brandon, Helen Palmer of Aurora, Ill., and Rosemary Shipp of Byhalia; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
