A Vicksburg hotel has been named one of the top in its company.

Comfort Suites hotel of Vicksburg is the recipient of the 2010 Platinum Hospitality Award, handed out by parent company Choice Hotels International Inc. It ranks the Vicksburg facility among the best of 4,900 other U.S. franchised hotels. The hotel is one of three in the state and one of 17 within the 636 Comfort Suites brand to receive Platinum Award status, according to a company press release.
