Miss Moore to marry Burnworth March 12

Jim and Kathy Moore of Bentonia announce the engagement of their daughter, Maggie, to Barrett Burnworth. Mr. Burnworth is the son of John and Lynne Burnworth of Vicksburg.

Miss Moore is the granddaughter of Gwen Wilkerson Stephens of Flora and the late Charles and Sallie Moore of Bentonia.

Mr. Burnworth is the grandson of Buel Ballou of Belzoni, Evelyn Ballou of Three Rivers, Texas, and Lucille Burnworth and the late Corwin Burnworth of Slidell, La.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Madison Central High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2004 and a master’s degree in reading and literacy in 2010, both from Mississippi University for Women.

Miss Moore is employed at Mannsdale Elementary School in Madison.

The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School. He graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University in 2008.

Mr. Burnworth is pursuing a master’s degree in forensic anthropology from MSU, where he will graduate in August.

The wedding will be at 11 a.m. March 12, 2011, at Ogden Baptist Church in Bentonia. A reception will follow at Reservoir Pointe.
