Parretts honored

Mr. and Mrs. William H. “Red” Parrett of Clinton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 12. They were honored with a dinner party hosted by Mrs. Parrett’s sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Larry Smith of Brandon.

Mrs. Parrett, the former Linda Ashley of Pinola, Miss., retired from the University Medical Pavilion in Jackson. She volunteers at the Natchez Trace Visitor Center. Mr. Parrett retired from R.G. LeTourneau in Vicksburg and is a gardener.

Both are involved in activities at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton where they are members.

Guests included their daughters Teresa Jolly of Clinton, Lisa Soverns and son-in-law Sam Soverns of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Jared Soverns and Franklin and Alana Jolly; Mrs. Parrett’s siblings; and other relatives and friends.

The couple is planning a trip to Hawaii in March.
