Auto insurance law needs some teeth in it along with vehicle registration (car tags), inspection stickers, and a valid driver’s license. If you are driving and do not have the four aforementioned items, you are driving on the road illegally.

The law needs to say if you are stopped or have an accident and do not have a valid driver’s license, inspection sticker, registration, and proof of insurance you are automatically at fault.

Also the law should require insurance companies to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles when insurances lapse or are canceled. The law in place now is laughable.
