Leonard J. Adler Jr. died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

A native of Elmer, N.J., Mr. Adler retired from the Navy in 1977 after serving 21 years. He had lived in Vicksburg since 1983 and was employed for a number of years for Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station and Isle of Capri Casino.

He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Adler; his parents, Leonard Sr. and Vera Adler; and a brother and a sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Theresa L. Broadwater of Madera, Calif., and Jeanette Nicholson of Austin, Texas; a son, Michael Adler of Savannah, Ga.; a brother, James T. Adler of Newfield, N.J.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. P.J. Curley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
