Lonnie H. Breithaupt, age 80, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Cary Stockett officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the hour of the service.

Mr. Breithaupt was born in Greenville and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 67 years. He was retired from Entergy, where he worked in the service department. He attended Wayside Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. and Vivian Breithaupt; his sister, Mary Ruth Huff; and his brothers, William Breithaupt, Charles Breithaupt, Lewis Breithaupt and Ernest Breithaupt.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie S. Breithaupt of Vicksburg; his sons, Barry K. Breithaupt of Florence, Brian C. Breithaupt and his wife, Melissa, of Vicksburg, and Michael G. Goza of Issaquah, Wash.; and his grandchildren, Layton Breithaupt, Garret Breithaupt, Brooklyn Breithaupt, Tyler Breithaupt, Morgan Breithaupt, Brody Breithaupt and Allison Goza.

Pallbearers will be Layton Breithaupt, Ray Breithaupt, Ted Hullum, J.C. Hullum, Pete Johnson and Ronnie Johnston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bill Pierce III, Sam Lusco, Leon Jacobs and Donald Joseph.
