Malcolm and Faye Keown of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lauren of Brandon, to Stephen Scott Morris, also of Brandon.

Mr. Morris is the son of Allen and Paula Morris of Oak Grove. He is the grandson of Herbert and Ann Morris and Charles Powell, all of Poplarville, and Jack and Mary Cooley of Hattiesburg.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the Key Club and French Club.

She attended Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and College Republicans. She served as vice president of community service for the Association of IT Professionals and volunteered as a tutor with the English as a Second Language program.

Miss Keown is a business analyst for the Department of Finance and Administration for the State of Mississippi.

The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Oak Grove High School. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Association of IT Professionals.

Mr. Morris is a software programmer for Saks Inc.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. June 4, 2011, at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. A reception will follow.
