A city woman was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with statutory rape, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Elizabeth Cole, 33, 1441 Harrison St., Apt. B, is accused of having sexual relations with a minor younger than 16 on or about Feb. 25, Stewart said.

Cole was arrested at 11:38 a.m. Thursday at her home after the child’s mother filed a complaint on March 3.

Cole was being held on a $15,000 bond.
