Alston to marry Boler; reception to be June 4

The engagement of Lauren Jean Alston to Daniel Lee Boler, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 11 a.m. May 7, 2011, in Dickenson Bay, Antigua. A reception will be held at 6 p.m. June 4 at the McNutt House in Vicksburg. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Alston is the daughter of Don E. Alston Jr. of Macon, Ga., and Melanie and Glenn Roe of Biloxi. She is the granddaughter of Don and Betty Alston of Utica, the late E.L. Sanders and the late Lois Sanders of Columbus and Shirley Roe of Vicksburg.

Mr. Boler is the son of J.W. Boler and the late Bobbie Boler of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late J.P. Boler and Marjorie Boler of Vicksburg and the late Robert Gray and the late Violet Gray of Arkansas.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Vicksburg High School. She received an associate degree in art and an associate degree in medical laboratory technology from Hinds Community College’s Nursing Allied Health Center.

Miss Alston is a medical laboratory technician at Madison Parish Hospital.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Porters Chapel Academy. He attended Itawamba Community College.

Mr. Boler is self-employed.
