A Vicksburg woman released from jail Friday after posting a $40,000 bond was rearrested less than 12 hours later and charged with threatening and intimidating a witness, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Rheuvonia Buck, 28, 208 Rhodes Drive, was charged Wednesday night with aggravated domestic assault and being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon after police responded to a report of domestic disturbance at her home. They found 31-year-old Reginald Lyons of the same address, shot in the chest and leg.

Stewart said bond was set for Buck Friday morning and several hours later she was released from the jail. At 10:51 p.m., officers arrested Buck at her mother’s home on Water Well Road, he said.

After Wednesday’s shooting, Lyons was taken to River Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released, a spokesman said.

Stewart said police would ask the District Attorney’s Office to work to revoke Buck’s bond so she could be held in the jail.
