Luther Riley, head basketball coach at Provine High School in Jackson for the past 11 years and former graduate assistant coach, has been hired as Alcorn State’s next basketball coach.

Riley is 286-70 in his career and has previously served as an assistant coach at East Central Community College and a volunteer assistant coach at Mississippi Valley State.

Riley takes over for Larry Smith.
