Harlin, Thomas are married in Hattiesburg

Michael James Harlin and Kimberly Diane Thomas were married at 5 p.m. Jan. 29, 2011, at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. Pastor Gary B. Shows officiated at the candlelight ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Thomas of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Russell Mosley Sr. of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Seamon C. Thomas Sr. of Angie, La.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lynn Harlin of Hamilton, Texas. He is the grandson of Nancy Campbell of Clarksville, Tenn.; the late Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lee Gibson and the late Kathryn Shields Hott, all of Hamilton; and the late Ralph Lyndon Harlin of Kerrville, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were cream, ivory and praline. A program of nuptial music was presented by John Elliot Yates, vocalist, of Philadelphia, Miss.; Beverly Barton, organist, of Hattiesburg; and the Momentum String Quartet, also of Hattiesburg.

Maid of honor was Jessica Kiran Lamb of Hattiesburg. Matron of honor was Jamie Harper Pittman of Clinton.

Bridesmaids were Rebekah Lorraine Nolan of Hattiesburg and Nicole Aileen Short of Boerne, Texas. Honorary bridesmaids were Jennifer Sykes Thomas of Little Rock, Ark., and Katherine Irwin Thomas of Alpharetta, Ga.

Michael Jay Yarbrough of Sumrall served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Christian Dassau and Fredrick Douglas Drennan II, both of Slidell, La., and Edward Harold Gore of Carriere.

Ushers were Travis Russell Mosley of Brandon, Mark Jonathan Thomas of Little Rock and Russell Seamon Thomas of Alpharetta.

Flower girls were Lacey Raygen Harlin of Sumrall and Lucy Carlyle Thomas of Alpharetta. Ring bearer was Jonathan Allen Thomas of Little Rock. Honorary ring bearer was Daniel Andrew Thomas of Little Rock.

Scripture reader was LaDonna Day Ellis of Hattiesburg. She and Stephanie Cate Randall, also of Hattiesburg, distributed programs.

Special wedding assistants were LuAnn Parks of Purvis and Nancy Shows of Hattiesburg.

A reception followed at the Hattiesburg Country Club. Guests were entertained with music by The Chill.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled on a cruise through the South Caribbean and West Indies.

The couple will make their home in Sumrall. The bride is assistant district attorney for the 15th Circuit Court District of Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, Jefferson Davis and Lawrence counties. The groom is a captain with the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department.
