Warren Central sweeps track and field titles at Viking Relays

Audrianna Ratliff won the 400 and 800 meter runs, while Sh’Qulla Neal placed second in the 100 meters and long jump and won the triple jump to lead Warren Central’s girls team to a first-place finish at the Viking Relays on Saturday.
WC totaled 161 points to beat Brookhaven, which was second with 142. Vicksburg, led by Robin Cooper’s victory in the shot put, finished third with 89 points.
In the boys’ meet, Walter King finished first in the 1,600 meters, DeAndre Smith won the 110 meter hurdles, and Warren Central finished atop the team standings with 135 points.
Port Gibson’s Tommy McCalphin won the 100 and 200 meters, helping the Blue Waves to a second-place finish with 96 points. Vicksburg finished eighth, with just 16 points.
