LUMBERTON — Richard Lee Ray died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was 53.

A Vicksburg native, Mr. Ray was born to Edward Brown and Mary Catherine Price Ray Sr. He was a salesman with The Home Depot in Baton Rouge and attended First Baptist Church in Lumberton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Timmy Ray.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Ladner Ray of Lumberton; three daughters, Rebecca Ray of Florida and Karen Ray and Amanda Ray, both of Lumberton; six brothers, Edward Brown Ray Jr., Tommy Ray, Bobby Ray and Larry Ray, all of Vicksburg, Michael Ray of Clinton and David Ray of Lumberton; five sisters, Donna Cobb and Theresa Boykin, both of Vicksburg, Cathy Jo Edwards of Jackson, Renee Mustin of The Woodlands, Texas, and Libby Flowers of Tulsa, Okla.; and friends, Connor Burns and Erin Burns.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 103 E. Hinton Ave. in Lumberton, with John Sapp and Jim Craven officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of White Funeral Home in Lumberton. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service.
