James F. Collins

DIANA, Texas — James F. Collins of Diana, Texas, formerly of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, in Longview, Texas. He was 83.

Mr. Collins was born in Oark, Ark., to the late George Harvey and Bessie Collins. He served in the Army and was a superintendent at Anderson-Clayton Soybean Processing Plant.

He is survived by two sons, Jimmy F. Collins and Steven G. Collins; two daughters, Vickie Collins Rowin and Tammy Collins Phillips; two brothers, George Collins and Tommy Collins; four sisters, Bessie Maye Lamb, Betty Faye Johnson, Rosalee Zeissel and Pat Greene; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Margaret’s House Chapel in Longview with Chaplain David Badders officiating. Burial will follow at Ore City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
