A Vicksburg teen accused of firing shots at a vehicle after an argument over a cell phone was in the Warren County Jail this morning, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

John Taylor Jr., 18, 1501 Military Ave., was charged with three counts of attempted aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle, said Stewart.

At least two shots were fired around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Military Avenue and Franklin Street, shattering the rear window of the car and putting a hole in the trunk, Stewart said.

Taylor was identified as a suspect over police radios and was picked up at Harris and Lake streets a short time later, said the lieutenant.

He was held without bond pending a court hearing Friday.
