Mourner marvels at respect shown for funeral procession

To the citizens of Vicksburg, On Wednesday, my aunt, “Polly” Wright, was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery. We made the trip from Riles Funeral Home to the Cemetery in that slow ride that is so typical of a funeral.
I want to express my gratitude to the people of Vicksburg for their courtesy and respect for our family as we traveled that route. People pulled over and made way for the procession. I even observed one gentleman holding his hat over his heart as we made our way.
In a world that seems to have lost respect for life these days, it made me very humble to observe this kind of respect and kindness. Thank you, Vicksburg.
