Joseph William Priddy

CARY — Joseph William Priddy died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at his residence in Cary. He was 84.

Born in Texas, he had lived in Cary since 1958 where he had farming interests. He was a veteran of the Korean war, serving in the Army, and was a member of the Rolling Fork Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lottie Dorries Priddy; a brother, Francis Priddy; and a sister, Ola Belle Hengst.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie H. Priddy of Cary; two sons, Bruce A. Priddy of Holly Springs and Gary W. Priddy of Chester, Md.; a daughter, Sonia P. Ellis of Delta City; two brothers, David C. Priddy of Winder, Ga., and James A. Priddy of Cary; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rolling Fork Church of Christ with Al Franks, Eugene Springer and Norman Maranto officiating. Burial will follow at the Cary Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Pallbearers will be Greg Priddy, Jody Priddy, Kyle Priddy, Randall Hayes, Randy Hengst and Chance Priddy.
