McInnis (7-1) pitched six innings, allowed two runs — one earned — and eight hits. He struck out four and walked one. Horn was perfect in the last three innings, not allowing a hit or a walk while striking out one.

Jamal Austin had two hits for UAB (25-20, 9-10). Former Porters Chapel star Michael Busby came on as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning and flied to center for the final out.
