Chief of staff caper

Sometimes things are very strange.
Things like the “chief of staff’ the mayor hired at a really good salary. I don’t think anyone ever bothered to mention just what services she was over or to take care of. Now the mayor has hired a secretary for one-third of what her salary was.
Being paid three times the wages of a secretary would indicate the “chief of staff” was to have performed some kind of special, even classified, services.
Now, it’s logical to assume that a chief of staff would have “staff.” If she had a staff, no one ever mentioned them and what their responsibilities were. Also, if she had a staff, no one has said what has happened to them.
Now they have fired the chief of staff after paying her nearly $10,000 for “unclaimed” overtime on a job that wasn’t needed to begin with. That is strange to the point of being unbelievable. It makes me wonder what a really good investigative news reporter could do with this caper?
Well, I don’t guess we ever will know about the booggers lurking just out of sight on this caper.
